I earned a PsyD in clinical psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California.
I have worked in the mental health field for the past nine years and in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, community outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, and university counseling centers. I have worked with adults from diverse populations and treated a variety of mental health concerns. I approach therapy with warmth and compassion to create a strong therapeutic relationship and my goal is to meet the needs of my clients. I am passionate about helping and empowering clients on their healing journey.
I treat a variety of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, anger management, race-related stressors, religious/spirituality, couples, interpersonal issues, women’s issues, military/veterans and LGBTQ+.
I use an integrative and strength-based approach. I also use evidenced-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I am originally from Kansas and have lived in various locations during my service in the U.S. Army. I am excited to be settled in Texas! I enjoy traveling, cooking new recipes, thrill seeking activities, watching basketball, DIY projects, interior decorating, and spending time with family and friends.
I am currently a post-doctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Jaya Mathew. I look forward to working with you on your healing journey!
