I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University
I am currently completing my postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Jaya T. Mathew, PhD., Licensed Psychologist and Founder of Wellness 360, as I work toward independent licensure.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of providing therapy across a variety of clinical settings, including college counseling centers, private practice, and community mental health. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the unique experiences each person brings to therapy and deepened my commitment to creating a space where client’s feel seen, understood, and supported.
I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression and other mood concerns, trauma, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, identity development, significant life or role transitions, family-of-origin dynamics, perfectionism, and self-esteem. I also have a particular interest in Women’s health, racial and cultural stress, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and identities.
My approach to therapy is evidenced-based, relational, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns may influence how they experience themselves and connect with others today. Together, we work toward developing greater self-understanding, processing difficult emotions and experiences, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful and lasting change.
At the heart of my work is the guiding principle, “Always aspire to be a voice for those unheard.” This reflects my commitment to honoring each client’s lived experience and creating an affirming therapeutic space where all parts of a person’s identity and story are welcomed. I strive to understand each client within the context of their relationships, culture, identities, communities, and life experiences rather than viewing concerns in isolation.
Originally from Alabama, I am happy to now call Texas home! Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy reading, binge-watching a good series, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new foods and restaurants.
I feel honored to walk alongside clients as they better understand themselves, heal from difficult experiences, and move toward lives and relationships that feel more authentic and fulfilling.
